Nikolaos Manesis
DOCTORATE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF PATRAS- CONSULTANT ON EDUCATIONAL ISSUES FOR TEACHERS
Nikolaos Manesis works as a researcher at the Department of Education and Social Work (formerly the Department of Primary Education) of the University of Patras.
He holds a PhD in Sociology of Education from the University of Patras (2004) and a Master’s degree in “Educational Policy and Administration” from the University of Patras (2000), as well as a Master’s degree in “Counselling and Vocational Guidance” from Roma Tre University (2015).
He has taught as a Research Associate at the EAP and the European & Neapolis Universities in Cyprus, at the Department of Social Work of the Athens University of Technology, Patras and at ASPAITE. He has been involved as a certified trainer of adults in many seminars of the Ministries of Education, Administrative Reconstruction, Interior and Labour , as well as of EKDDA, INE GSEE, KANEP GSEE and several KEKs and KEDIVIM.
His research focuses on issues related to pedagogy, teaching methodology, differentiated teaching, curricula, educational evaluation, educational policy, inequality in education, school and social exclusion, relationships and exchanges of actors in the classroom, the role of teachers, family-school relations, gender and diversity, the use of art in education.
He has participated in European Projects. She has written teaching material for the University, the I.D.E.C.E. and the Lifelong Learning Centres. She has published books (5), Policy Reports (2), chapters in edited volumes (7), articles in international & Greek journals (26) and conference proceedings (47), on the above mentioned topics.
